Up and coming music artists, dance acts, performers, visual artists, designers and other young entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to strut their stuff for an expected audience of 1000 people.

Team leader for the Raw Sounds Festival is 20-year-old Future Leader Lydia Watson. Ms Watson joined the Future Leaders Program to increase her involvement with local community-driven events and develop her leadership potential.

“Raw Sounds Festival is a chance to recognise and celebrate the important contribution young people make to our local culture and community,” Ms Watson said.

“We make up around 17% of the Sunshine Coast population and there really aren’t enough events that provide a safe environment for young people to have fun and be entertained, especially if you’re under 18 and pubs and clubs are off limits.”
